No CP3

The Rogue fans were disappointed tonight as Chris Paul was in street clothes against the home town. The team was excited, however, because they took the Cowboys to overtime the last time they visited the Olympic Oval and CP3 was playing in that one. With a chance for the Rogues to equal the season series against their provincial rival, the Rogues started out hot in the first and had a 10 point lead at the end of the first quarter. Richmond were being led by Horford (with 17 points and 12 rebounds) in this one, but he was often double-teamed so he kicked it out frequently to Holiday who also had 17 points. In the 4th quarter, the Monta Ellis show got rolling though (as coach Bill recently noted, this is becoming HIS team). He got to the line, made some driving shots and even hit 4 threes. Cloverdale's poor FT shooting (65%) was offset by the large number of attempts they got in this one (40). Down the stretch the Cowboys pulled ahead but George Hill had a chance with 7 seconds remaining to tie the game up (and possibly send it to OT again) but he was long and the Cowboys got the ball to Monta for 2 clinching FTs.
Final score CCB 100- RR 95.
