Cloverdale @ The Rogues (Part II)

This game was mostly about the difference on the boards. The Rogues outrebounded the Cowboys by a 64 to 33 margin. With both stars, Paul and Howard in early foul trouble, other contributors stepped up for the Rogues as J.Dud had 20 and Iverson chipped in with 18. Unfortunately, there was no one to do that for the Cowboys. Rogues win this won going away by the final score of 106 to 75.

Kalamazoo Battle Kats @ the Rogues

Well, this game had a lot going on, including: Tyler Hansbrough hitting a 3 pointer; Granger striking for 24 points in the first quarter (he finished with 39) after facing a bit of double teaming in the 2nd half; Dwight shooting 9 for 22 from the strip (ouch); an 18 point lead for Kalamazoo that dwindled to 6, then 4, then 2 and then went to OT when Howard tied it up late in the 4th. In OT, Howard fouled out and Dorell Wright (who also grabbed 14 rebounds from the SF position) drained a 3 pointer with 10 seconds left to put Richmond up. A shot at the buzzer by Baron Davis went in and out and Richmond ended up with a stunning 119-118 (OT) victory that Richmond's fans will likely never forget.

Cloverdale Cowboys @ the Rogues

The Rogues thought they had an easy victory for the taking as the CowBoys lineup featured CP3 AK47 and a bunch of D-League call-ups (Martin, Bell, Battie and that Patrick Mills guy). For the first quarter, it looked as if the easy win was going to happen as the Rogues jumped out to a 36-20 lead after 1 quarter. Then CP3 took over. He scored (29 points), he assisted (16 dimes), and did everything he could to get his D-League buddies easy baskets, and easy baskets they got... many of them were of the dazzling variety. The Rogues, having already given Cloverdale one of its 2 wins this season, got fired up in the 4th, however and rallied to tie and then take the lead down the stretch in this high scoring game. Jason Richardson (20) and Howard (23) led a balanced Rogues attack (6 players with 13+ points) to chalk up only their 3rd win in the very challenging and competitive Jordan division.
