Bombs Away

From the maybe Hal is onto something file, the Rogues came out with the intention of putting on a long range shooting display in front of the home town fans in Richmond. The plan sure started well with George Hill hitting on his first 2 3's (all his optionals) against the "sag" defence. Richmond gunslinger Dorell Wright (who led the NBA in both 3's attempted and made last season) also hit a couple of them early on his way to 3 from 7 from behind the stripe. Overall Richmond was 9 of 19 from downtown compared to Hal's charges- the Nighthawks- hitting on only 5 of 23 which was mostly Stephen Jackson's fault as he was 2 for 11 from downtown... Not much to cheer for from North Shore's perspective as Cousins fouls out in 20 minutes with NO points and they shoot a dismal 36% from the field as a team. The Rogues lead this one from start to finish and it ended the way it started; with George Hill draining a 3 as the 4th wound down for player of the game honours and a "rivalry" win for Richmond by the score of 95-76.
